David Buckle

Chief Executive, South Oxfordshire District Council

David is a town planner by training and has worked in both the public and private sectors.

For seven years he was a management consultant working latterly for Deloitte and Touche.

He joined Stroud District Council as director of development and leisure in January 1996. In November 2000 he became chief executive at South Oxfordshire District Council.In July 2008 South Oxfordshire and the Vale of White Horse district douncils agreed to create a shared senior management team.

David was appointed as shared chief executive in September 2008.
